Given the Labour’s government failures over the years (The Dome (yeah it may have turned out alright but remember the saga in 1999/2000?), bidding for the Olympics and succeeding without the resources or cold hard cash to pay for it, letting public spending spiral out of control, following a post colonial foreign policy despite changes in the world political order, etc) and the length of time the Conservatives have been in Opposition, you would have thought they would have had the time to come up with a coherent election manifesto.

Apparently not. I haven’t had the opportunity to read it but the Biased Broadcast Corporation (BBC) are having a good go at picking out passages of meaningless mumbo jumbo this evening and it is all strangely reminiscent of New Labour. Thanks Dave C, we weren’t after a new version of Labour but a credible alternative. Unfortunately, I don’t think we have quite got there.

BBC – that’s funny. Remind me of what one person calls the “Washington Com-Post” newspaper.
