Where Is Audit Monkey? July 28, 2011

Posted by Audit Monkey in The Joy & Pain of Internal Audit.

Mini update. If you are wondering where Audit Monkey is, he hasn’t gone on his summer break. Truth is, I can’t be bothered to post at the moment. I will do, I promise as I will need to vent.

I sure hope you’re busy with a new job. Or you’re having too much fun. Can’t wait to hear the latest.

(OK, Cow, you can jump in now 🙂

Thanks, was waiting for you to go first.
I’m also experiencing a lull in motivation. Have you tried drinking lots of beer? Always gives me great ideas.

Funnily enough, no. Bit cheesed off at the moment, male hormones probably playing up. However, I doubt the solution is at the bottom of a bottle or pint glass.

The City hasn’t got it’s usual vibe at the moment as it’s holiday season and everyone is elsewhere living it up, so things are slightly lackluste. This probably contributes to the listlessness and apathy. Having half of London shopfronts and bars boarded up against the barbarbian hordes also puts the mockers on things.

My hat off to you for following Cow’s lead, which I also did. A quick post that you’re gone, and the comments roll in. Worked better for you than me, but stealing from each other in kind ways is what it’s all about.

Personally, I have lots to write about and no time. I have so many posts waiting to be finished, I should hire it out. Or make Skyyler do it.

p.s. You guys are both in UK, right? How about something on the riots? You could then morph into how auditees howl when the findings are published. Could give you lots of hits!

Yes, AM is in London. I will comment on the riots in due course but I seem to be suffering from the same problem as the Metropolitan Police, apathy and lack of motivation….

Shame about the Spurs v Everton game being cancelled too, I hear that most Tottenham fans were looking forward to watching it on their brand new plasma TVs. I hear there are some out-of-work police officers with experience of dealing with that sort of thing, maybe give the Cairo job centre a call, or Tripoli?
