Quite possibly it is. In brief, I’ve had enough of auditing.
To distance myself from thinking about auditing, I’m probably going to discontinue the blog so I don’t have to think about it of an evening or weekend. To be honest, if I could get out of the profession (profession in the loosest sense), I would as I can’t see my career advancing.
I know I’ve said that I would end the blog previously but when one is continually asked daft interview questions, e.g. have you done any financial audits, especially when it is patently obvious from the CV that I have, it does beggar belief. And that ironically, is one of the more difficult parts of the job, dealing with other Auditors, especially when they are pedantic and have a text book view of the world. Sure, I’m one for detail and precision but we’re not solicitors or Compliance junkies. So farewell cruel world!
PS – Despite saying this, I probably will continue!

I’m happy for you! Getting out of auditing, that is. You did really hate it.
While we often didn’t agree and sometimes just irritated each other, I’ll miss you and your blog. Have fun!

I thought you meant continue the blog, not auditing. I hope you find yourself!
I think knowing that your competition is stupid would be a comfort, not a hindrance.
