About

Audit Monkey is a gentleman (rapidly approaching middle age) who is precariously employed as an Internal Auditor cum Management Consultant. Note my restraint in typing ‘career auditor’. Audit Monkey will, hopefully, make informed and amusing comment about his life, employment and society in the suburbs of South London.

Have you thought of making your home page show the first paragraph or two of each blog entry with a link if you want to read the whole thing (WordPress calls it the MORE tag)? See my blog for an example: http://itauditsecurity.wordpress.com

It allows readers to quickly skim all the posts on a page and decide which ones you want to read. Although you’re indeed a good writer, not all your posts interest me (sorry 🙂

Well, I tried and er, failed!

3. Audit Monkey - December 28, 2009

Found the more tag! Excellent!

I see you added TOP POSTS to your right side. Great! Let me know if it improves your click rate.

Where’s your “subscribe via email” button? I changed email addresses and need to resubscribe? I can’t be without my Audit Monkey!

7. Audit Monkey - September 21, 2010

Added the ‘subscribe’ button. It will be interesting to see whether the number of subscribers gets into double figures…

8. ITauditSecurity - June 4, 2011

I’m happy to say that email subscribers are in the double figures, partially because of your referrals (THANKS). Keep in mind that readers also get your stuff through RSS and that is not reflected in your “hit count.”

A Cow in Willesden - June 6, 2011

you can limit the content sent by RSS to just he first 50 characters, I think – means you will get some click throughs to read the rest of the article, helping that wondrous hit-counter to massage your ego. I think they should give out hit-counters to all career auditors as a counterweight to the … well, the entire rest of the life of an auditor.
Thanks to IT Security for putting me on to your blog, looks like fun I’ll have a flicj through now.

Happy to refer but I think I have next to no subscribers! Always better to give rather than receive supposedly.

Cheers Cow In Willesden. I’ll investigate the RSS thing and report back. However, like most of my agreed actions, the owner will take an inordinate amount of time to implement the simpliest of things.

AM,
I like the new gravatar! Are you seeing no evil, hiding, or just trying to keep your head from exploding?
